HabitatSteep limestone slopes and ridges in a pinyon/juniper/joshua tree woodland with Yucca baccatta, Yucca schidigera, Agave utahensis, Tetradymia argyraea, Ephedra, Coleogyne ramosissima, Purshia mexicana, Spheralcea ambigua, Menodora spinescens, Opuntia erinacea, Echinocereus engelmanii, E. mohavensis, Phacelia fremontia. Occasional on rocky limestone slopes.
