Locality Castle Mountains National Monument; Hart Mine Road to NN 144, east of Barnwell. Ca. 1 air mile west of Hart (site).
Elevation 1312m
HabitatOpen valley with wash at bottom. Slope is 2 degrees, facing south. Holocene and Pleistocene alluvium below hills of Miocene rhyolite tuff, domes, and dikes; and volcanic breccia and sedimentary rocks. Silt, sand, gravel soil, 7.5 YR 4/4 brown. Joshua tree woodland, Larrea-Ambrosia scrub, and desert wash vegetation.
