HabitatLodgepole For. up both canyons to 10400 ft and up both side walls in favored places to 10400 ft or above; subalpine for. mostly krumholtz and spotty to 11000ft - specimens rare above that. This stat. ca. 0.25 m. below trail jct.; trail parallels creek.; Moist rill (Marchantia) & drying slope lead up right to very wet hanging bog above screen of Lodgepoles - willows on uphill side. Very rich herb list in the various niches. In the bog.
