Locality Southern Sierra Nevada region: Piute Mountains, lower Esperanza Canyon at eastern base of Sorrell Peak and western edge of Kelso Valley.
Elevation 1372m
HabitatAlluvial flats and moderate to steep slopes, granitic substrate with large boulder outcrops, loose, decomposed granite soils. Vegetation recently burned (2006 or 2007), formerly dominated by scrub. Occasional to locally common on burned slopes, with Cryptantha mohavensis and Cryptantha oxygona.
