HabitatIn Lodgepole timber at head of meadow. Lodgepole Forest up branch into NW-SE sect.; on SSE facing slope on N side of canyon some Juniperus with P. monticola, P. murrayana; on S side the two pines and some Tsuga in protected places; P. albicaulis starts at 10000-10500'; Alpine Fell-fields begin on Mt. Hilgard at 11500'.
