NotesFemale plant. Locally common perennial, low-growing, up to 6 in. tall. Leaves clustered at base. Fruits short-hairy, erect and appressed. Flowers divided halfway to base, glabrous, red in bud, cream-colored when mature. Galls or swollen stems observed in the internodes of most plants.;
