Locality Geghus Ridge c. 8 miles NE of Lebec, rolling slopes near crest of ridge, above Bear Trap Canyon.

HabitatOpen oak woodland with Q. lobata, Q. douglasii, Q. kelloggii and much annual grass. Widely scattered in grassland but mostly dead. These live plants from a wild pig disturbed area with reduced competition for moisture.
