HabitatRugged limestone canyons and ridges with Pinus monophylla, Juniperus osteosperma, Yucca brevifolia, Y. schidigera, Y. baccata, Coleogyne ramosissima, Ephedra, Rhus trilobata, Salazaria mexicana, Acacia greggii, Fallugia paradoxa, Ferocactus cylindraceus, Opuntia phaecantha, O. basilaris, O. erinacea, O. chlorotica, Echinocereus engelmanii and with many summer annuals.
