Locality Rattlesnake Canyon in Johnson Valley, Ca. From Lucerne Valley at Junction of CA- 247 (also called Old Woman Springs Rd) & 18, take CA- 247 southeast for 18.5 miles. Turn right (SW) on Rattlesnake Canyon Rd., Cross a cattle guard and continue onto BLM Rd 3331. Mileage to site from HWY 247 is 6 miles. Collection on both sides of canyon wash.
