HabitatA rocky/gravely canyon in burnt pinyon/joshua tree woodland with Yucca schidigera, Juniperus, Nolina parryi, Ephedra, Salazaria mexicana, Acacia greggii, Petalonyx thurberi, Viguiera parishii, Lycium andersonii, Brickellia desertorum, Cylindropuntia echinocarpa, Echinocereus engelmanii, Ericameria cuneata ssp. spathulata and a diversity of summer annuals.
