HabitatLodgepole forest. Piute Canyon up to 10,400-10,600 ; subalpine forest to 10800 (even 11200 on few favored rocky slopes) occas Pinus albicaulis Krumholtz to 11200 , rare specimens to 11600 basin mostly above 11000 and Alpine with extensive areas herbaceous alpine cover.

NotesThis Draba in thick grass sod against a boulder about 75 above and N of the slightly bow shaped tarn or small lying at 11220 ca half way between Lower Desolation Lake and Tomahawk Lake. An atypical habitat usually in open mineral.;
