HabitatMixed coniferous woodland on rough N-facing slope. With Abies concolor, Quercus kelloggii, Pinus jeffreyi, P. ponderosa. Scant understory poking-up through heavy duff includes Eriophyllum, Achillea, Antennaria, Erigeron, Allophyllum, Chaenactis, Elymus, and Bromus tectorum.
