Allium cratericola, W. R. Mortola 1983-04
NotesUpper Sonoran life zone. Very common in loose clay soil that thinly covers the lava rock on the flat crest of Table Mountain,elevation about 1000 feet. The scape s are covered with soil, only the flower cluster and single leaf appearing above the surface of the ground. The fresh flowers were pale purple. The type locality for this species is the crater of St. Helena, in the Coast Range.;
