HabitatShallow serpentine soils. chaparral and woodland burned in late June 1965 during Las Pilitas Fire. Dominant shrubs are Heteromeles arbutifolia, Quercus durata, and Ceanothus cuneatus. Burned area with numerous annuals and blub-forming perennials, but without 'fire annuals'. ; Locally abundant on stony soil
