HabitatSlope char by dense chaparral of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, Quercus wislizeni, Q. berberidifolia, and Rhamnus ilicifolia on shallower soils of rocky slopes, more xeric exposures with open stands of Eriogonum fasciculatum, Salvia apiana, and Eriophyllum confertiflorum deep alluvial soils of fan with mosaic of dense low scrub of E. fasciculatum, Eriodictyon crassifolium var. nigrescens, and Chrrysothamnus nauseosus.; Loc common in meadows W and S of the hunter's cabin in the wetland area
