Notes | Occurrence Remarks: Monographic Studies in Eriogonoideae, James L. Reveal, 1987. These plants grow in the sandy hills over which active dunes are moving inland; this species at very edge of dunes and many plants which bloomed and set seed are now being covered. Bushes of Salvia mellifera appear to be able to elongate their terminal shoots sufficiently fast to survive for a time. Senecio blochmanae elongates, but keeps its roots near surface by the production of adventitious ones on the stems; |
