HabitatHeavily grazed meadow on fine silty pumice soil. Wet areas fed by perennial springs, direr margins intergrading into Pinus contorta forest and Artemisia tridentata scrub upland. Abundant head-cutting by cattle, inside and outside of fenced exclosure.
