Locality | Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; Weiss Hill Meadow, a large meadow 600 air-km east-southeast of junction of Weiss Hill Road and Forbestown Road; at the head of a minor northwestern tributary to New York Creek. Forbestown 7.5' Quad. |
Habitat | Large open meadow sloping to the east, surrounded by Ponderosa pine which is then surrounded by mixed conifer forest with tanoak and madrone. Meadow is somewhat rocky, a mix of dry areas and spring-fed areas, but only one small wet spring at this time. |
