Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; Weiss Hill Meadow, a large meadow 600 air-km east-southeast of junction of Weiss Hill Road and Forbestown Road; at the head of a minor northwestern tributary to New York Creek. Forbestown 7.5' Quad.
HabitatLarge open meadow sloping to the east, surrounded by Ponderosa pine which is then surrounded by mixed conifer forest with tanoak and madrone. Meadow is somewhat rocky, a mix of dry areas and spring-fed areas, but only one small wet spring at this time.
