Locality Indian Valley Guard Station near the 2N10 road, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Hayfork Ranger District.
HabitatDry meadow. Occurring in gravelly sandy clay. In spite of some areas of relatively high disturbance in the meadow due to administrative and recreation use, the species was only found in a relatively undisturbed part of the roughly 3 hectare meadow.
