Locality Mojave Desert; North Mojave Desert region: Southwest end of the Lava Mountains, north of Red Mountain, east of Trona Road. Just off Steam Well Road (RM1444). Just east of BM3247 and road that cuts off to Red Mountain.
Elevation 1010 m
HabitatDesert floor between Lava and Red Mountains. Almost level sandy wash, along sides of road. Associated with: Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Lycium cooperi, Ericameria cooperi, Hymenoclea salsola, Grayia spinosa, Sphaeralcea ambiguum, Tetradymia sp., Achnatherum speciosum and Achnatherum hymenoides. Lavender flowers.
