Locality Mojave Desert; Southcentral Mojave Desert region: East Ord Mountain; canyon on east side of mountain. From Camp Rock Road. Near 34.62872N, 116.73024W. Section 10 on Ord Mountains Quad and section 11 on Rodman Mountains Quad. To 34.63171 N, 116.74400 W (Ord Mountains and Rodman Mountains 15 Quad: T6N R2E). Alt: 1126-1222 m.

HabitatGeneral collecting from the road to a little up east draining canyon. Gentle sloping bajada to rocky dry canyon. Plant associates include: Larrea tridentata, Ambrosia dumosa, Yucca schidigera, Encelia actoni, Hymenoclea salsola and Ephedra viridis. Growing in partly shady areas at base of bedrock, in canyon.
