Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; about 160 m. west of the French Creek Road crossing of French Creek near the mouth of Ram Creek.

HabitatGenerally disturbed southeast-facing slope of soft decomposed granite; opening in mixed conifer forest (Douglas-fir, black oak, Pondersoa pine, canyon live oak, incense cedar, tanoak, deerbrush, white-leaf manzanita); with Clarkia mosquinii, dry annual grasses, Monardella lanceolata, Lotus corniculatus, Rumex acetosella, Eriogonum nudum, Lotus purshianus. Plants very sticky, smelly; when collected, pressed, and dried they leave an oily but not sticky impression.
