Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; along Ponderosa Way 2.1 road km south of Ponderosa Dam; 1.2 air km south-southwest of Ponderosa Dam and South Fork Feather River.

HabitatOn low dirt berm where dirt road crosses a creek; generally cool shady roadside; partial shade from white alder, big-leaf maple, spicebush; in forest of black oak, canyon live oak, tanoak, Ponder-osa pine, madrone. Rays bright white, disk flowers yellow-orange; this the only place along this road where seen.
