Locality Los Angeles Basin: Verdugo Mountains Region: Southwest side; From saddle along main crest where the dirt roads of Verdugo Mountain Way and Chandler Fire Road meet, (Thomas Guide 1998 street guide and directory) head north down Wildwood Fire Road, (closed road and plants growing back onto road) to old home site near La Tuna Canyon Road. This home was burned down a long time ago, and road abandoned.

HabitatYellow flower shrub about 2 feet tall. Growing along old road below cliff, sunny, northwest facing. Associated with; On cliff are, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Yucca shipplei, Brickellia californica, Trichostema lanatum and Salvia mellifera. Along road that has been convereted to a trail are, Saliva mellifera, Malosma laurina, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Artemisia californica, Heterotheca fastigiata and Gnaphalium bicolor.
