Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; northwest side of Rim Road (Ponderosa Way) at southern end of Rocky ridge and southern end of its serpentine openings. Southeast-facing slope near ridge top.

HabitatSoutheast-facing slope near ridge top; annual-grassy openings among shrubs (Arctostaphylos viscida, Eriodictyon californicum, Ceanothus cuneatus); open ground dominated by Vulpia (dry) and Lessingia (seedlings). Flowers and plants bright golden yellow; sometimes but not always near Galium, also near Polygala cornuta, Eriophyllum lanatum-physical connection to a host plant not determined.
