|Habitat||On flat top of ridge. Open areas on rocky serpentine soil, in open forest of stunted Jeffrey pine, Douglas fir, and knobcone pine, with scattered shrubby California bay, shrub tanoak, low pinemat manzanita, huckleberry oak, and Rhamnus californica subsp. occidentalis. Other associates: Lomatium howellii, Cordylanthus tenuis subsp. viscidus, Aspidotis densa, Whippleya modesta, Achillea millefolium, Zigadenus sp and Perideridia sp.|
