HabitatAbundant in dry sand near summit. Soil granite sand. Assoc.: Penstemon azureus, Calyptridium umbellatum. Leaf lobes alike, acicular; calyx 10 mm. long, membrane in sinuses to two-thirds; corolla 16 mm. long, bicolor lobes rose-pink, throat yellow, tube yellow, not stout; stamens inserted top of throat, included; stigma lobes 0.5 mm. long; cap. 4 mm. long, locules 2-seeded.
