Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. South-facing slope 0.4 km south of top of Batchelor Point, 0.6 km east of top of Rocky Ridge and Rim Road (Ponderosa Way).

HabitatSouth-facing slope. Steep rocky serpentine; scattered Ponderosa pine, incense cedar; lots of manzanita and buckbrush; mostly in openings within the brush; also Senecio eurycephalus var. lewisrosei, Erigeron petrophilus var. sierrensis, Monardella sheltonii. Sepals yellow, the lower tinged purple; petals white with purple midveins.
