HabitatAlong road. Matrix of open grassy areas around buckbrush and manzanita and scattered blue oaks and Ponderosa pines. Flowers lavender; anthers, styles and calyx (when open) magenta; buds pendant, inflorescence axes erect; plants occasional in openings and especially around shrubs with Clarkia dudleyana.
