Locality Inner North Coast Ranges. Vicinity of Grapevine Creek, Rena Canyon, and Scotties Canyon.

HabitatSteep south-facing slope along drainage; shale substrate, lightly vegetated; these plants mostly clustered around chamise shrubs, but also with Eriodictyon californicum, smaller plants on open slope. Surrounding slopes and ridges of dense chamise chaparral. Flowers light yellow; plants with thin branchlets that wrap around adjacent vegetation (mostly into chamise), but very straight when not contacting other vegetation.
