HabitatSteep northeast-facing slope of blue oak woodland, with manzanita, mountain mahogany, and scattered buckeye. Plants with leaves dull olive green on both surfaces; no basal burl; multi-ple trunk shrubs 10-15 ft tall; these plants with SHINY GLABROUS FRUITS and GLABROUS PEDICELS, growing mixed with a less common manzanita with sticky fruits and hairy pedi-cels (ssp. elegans?--coll'n 7460).
