Locality High Cascade Range. 4.8 km southeast of Turner Mountain, along Road 29N48 overlooking Mill Creek.

HabitatRoad cutbank through very steep rock outcrop area, east-facing volcanic; open with scattered shrubs in mixed conifer forest (Jeffrey pine, white fir, sugar pine, Ponderosa pine, black oak; green-leaf manzanita, tobacco brush, huckleberry oak). Plants in clumps with many erect branches from woody caudex, very sticky; flowers white on inside, pale purple on outside; stigmas long exerted, white/very pale yellow.
