HabitatMostly on flat on gently sloping ground, sparsely vegetated soil, fine-crumbly shale mixed with clay; open around shrubs (chamise, buck brush) in blue oak/gray pine woodland. Corolla lobes white or very pale violet (one color or the other on individual plants) with faintly yellow throat, light violet tube with darker fine striations.
