Locality High Cascade Range. Along Ponderosa Way near top of Middle Ridge, overlooking South Fork Antelope Creek and Black Butte.

HabitatSouth-facing chaparral slope dominated by buckbrush, also manzanita, Garrya, Cercocarpus, poison oak; scattered gray pine -- mixed conifer forest on top of the ridge. Plant a shrub 1.5-2 m tall; flowers white, aging pink, sweetly fragrant.
