HabitatOn W-facing slope by dirt road, in network of small openings within recently burned chamise chaparral, in pale tan stony clay-shale soil with Malacothrix floccifera and Salvia columbariae among burned chamise, Malacothamnus helleri, Eriodictyon californi-cum, Dicentra chrysantha, Streptanthus glandulosus, Emmenanthe penduliflora, Apiastrum angustifolium, Malacothrix clevelandii, Filago californica, and diverse other herbaceous spp. Petals very pale pink to white, with red-purple blotches near tips of three more slender lobes.
