Locality Sunset Hill Meadow. Ca 2 air mi W of Forbestown, ca 0.2 mi S of Sunset Hill fire lookout and 300 ft S of Forbestown Rd, at headwaters of New York Creek. At end of old dirt rd at E edge of old homestead site. Near edges of meadow.

HabitatAt headwaters of creek. Moist meadow in lower Mixed Conifer forest. In full to partial sun in scattered patches near edges of meadow, sometimes among surface rocks, with scattered Rhamnus rubra, Wyethia angustifolia, Sidalcea glaucescens, and Pteridium aquilinum.
