HabitatWest-facing slope, shaded until afternoon by canyon live oak, California bay-laurel, occasional Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine, incense cedar. Granite substrate. Petals lavender; anthers dark red at anthesis, fading almost to white; thousands of plants here.
