Locality Between Paskenta and Covelo on Forest Road 24N02 south of Wells Cabin Campground, 2.2 mi north of its junction with FH7 at Mendocino Pass.

HabitatMixed coniferous forest. Common on a gravelly and grassy flat in open forest. Corolla ca. 7 mm long, the tube = or > calyx lobes; tube with a hairy ring within, maroon, the throat yellow, the petals pale lavender to whitish; stamens inserted +/- in the sinuses of corolla lobes.
