Locality On northwest-facing slope immediately below the summit of an unnamed peak at the north end of the Bald Mountain Range.

HabitatSmall population on northwest-facing slope. Associated with Eriogonum umbellatum, E. wrightii var. subscaposum, Haplopappus acaulis, Artemisia arbuscula, Phlox diffusa, Melica stricta, etc., on open, pumice-scree slope surrounded by Cereocarpus ledifolius woodland. Note: stem and involucres not densely glandular as in typical E. rosense.
