HabitatAlong road. On road cutbank through steep south-facing mid-slope. Black oak dominated mixed conifer forest (ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, black oak, canyon live oak, deerbrush). Layered sandstone substrate. Corolla lobes violet, tube very dark; anthers blue.
