HabitatSoutheast-facing road cutbank through steep mid-slope of canyon. Opening through mixed conifer forest of ponderosa pine, canyon live oak, black oak, Douglas-fir, incense cedar, deerbrush, white-leaf manzanita; roadcut with annual grasses, Madia elegans, Gilia capitata. Flowers magenta, petals with dark speckles at base of blade.
