Locality | Ca 2.5 mi SSW of Big Bar Mtn, on N side of USFS Rd 22N84 ca 1.1 mi N and E of its jcn with major spur road (Rd 22N84A), on upper slopes of a ridge. On SE-facing road cut. |

Habitat | On upper slopes of ridge. Growing out of base and steep side of SE-facing, shaded road cut, in bare, reddish soil, with Calystegia occidentalis and Clarkia mildrediae. Surrounding vegetation is lower Mixed Conifer forest, with manzanita at edges. Soil is non-serpentine, although small serpentine outcrops are numerous in the immediate area. |
