Locality Near Rice Valley, close to the town of Stonyford.

HabitatThis shrub was collected from a chaparral or brushland in the general vicinity of a ridge top on a west exposure as a member of the shrub layer. The population was located on the lower third of a ridge system that had a 10 percent slope, a smooth vertical slope shape and a smooth horizontal slope shape. It was growing on soil having a very cobbly texture composed mainly of serpentine rock with a residual origin.
