Habitat | This herb was collected from a chaparral or brushland in the general vicinity of an opening in brush on a south exposure as a member of the herb layer in a flowering and fruiting state. The population was located on the middle third of a ridge system that had a 5 percent slope, a smooth vertical slope shape and a smooth horizontal slope shape. It was growing on soil having a gravelly texture composed mainly of serpentine rock with a residual origin. | ||||
