Locality About 6 1/2 air mi ENE of Beckwourth and 2 1/2 air mi N of Hwy 70; ca. 25 ft. N (upslope) from USFS Rd. 23N71 and 150 ft. E of the stream which is in the steep ravine. Slope 20%.
Elevation 1645 m
HabitatLoose, light brown soil with scattered flat rocks. Burned over open Jeffrey pine forest with black oak. Associates: Bromus tectorum, Ceanothus prostratus, Eriogonum nudum, Castilleja aapplegatei subsp. pinetorum, Lupinus sp., Elymus elymoides subsp. californicus, and Chaenactis douglasii var. douglasii.
