HabitatSouth-flowing drainage through open (burned over and salvage-logged) Jeffrey pine forest, plus lots of killed or stump-sprouting live oak; decomposed granite soil. Forming large rhizomatous patches in and just above moist sandy drainage; flowers dark purple.
