HabitatRocky granitic canyon with Fouquieria splendens, Ferocactus cylindraceus, Justicia californica, Simmondsia chinensis, Acacia greggii, Psorothamnus spinosus, Trixis californica, Opuntia bigelovii, O. basilaris, Echinocereus engelmanii, Hyptis emoryi, Camissonia cardiophylla, Mimulus bigelovii and many other winter annuals. Frequent at rocky margins of canyon bottom.
