|Locality||Coast Ranges; Temblor Mountains region Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge, far west end of the San Emigdio Mountains, West of Cerro Noroeste Road, due west southwest of Pelato. Along dirt road.|
|Habitat||Slight northwest facing slope, heavier clay soil. Rolling hill country, with drainages heading west toward Cuyama Valley. Drier land form, less grass, more open shrub land, with some sites heavy black crytogramic soil. Associated species include: Juniperus californica, Ericameria linearifolia, Eriogonum fasciculatum polifolium, Bromus madritensis rubesn, Vulpia microstachys pauciflora, Erodium cicutarium, Camissonia strigulosa, Eriophyllum pringlei, Guillenia lasiophylla, Lasthenia gracilis, Cryptantha nevadensis rigida, C. nemaclada, Gilia austro-occidentalis, g. transmontana, and Fritillaria agrestis.|
