Locality Northern High Sierra Nevada. Plumas National Forest; Placer Diggings along Pine Grove Creek, just north of Pine Grove Cemetery, 0.8 air-km northwest of Howland Flat.

HabitatAround edges of shallow settling ponds in old placer diggings site, with Salix lasiandra, Equisetum arvense, Juncus balticus, etc. Shrubs 15-25 dm tall, abundant around the ponds and along drainages; staminate plant.
