Locality | Sacramento Valley. Along the edges of Openshaw Road 0.8 km southeast of its junction with Hwy 149; between Dry Creek and Gold Run (Creek). Starting about here and continuing southeast for at least 1 km, often lining the 3 dm wide strip next to the pave-ment, sometimes thickly so. |

Habitat | With the usual annual grassland species: Avena, Bromus hordeaceus, B. madritensis, Elymus caput-medusae, Erodium, Trifolium hirtum - all dry except for this grass and occasional Croton setigerus and Chamaesyce. The road right-of-way passes through gently rolling hills of annual grassland/wildflower fields with some vernal drainage swales. |
